Ungil

Conlang Page | Main
Updated 15 November 2009

NOTES:
Ungil is a quickly-sketched example of a deformative conlang
based on Latin as a convenient "victim language." This was about an hour's
work one afternoon several years ago, and I've finally gotten around to putting it online as an example of a conlanger's daydreaming. I derived the words by reversing the order of the Latin phonemes, voicing the voiceless consonants, devoicing the voiced ones, or otherwise altering the phonological shape of the word. The grammar is VSO -- Verb-Subject-Object, with concomitant noun-adjective word order, etc.
